Little Miss and Junior Miss pageants will be held as a part of the Great Fair on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 5:00 PM.
Little Miss Pocomoke Fair

Winner's Responsibilities
Prizes, Trophies, & Awards
- At least 5 years but not older than 7 years of age on the date of the pageant.
- Must reside in Worcester, Somerset, Wicomico, or Accomack County.
Participation Requirements
- All participants must be registered with the Pageant Director. (See registration information below.)
- All participants must attend pageant rehearsal which will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 6:30 PM at the fairgrounds grandstand building.
- Participants must arrive at the registration desk inside the fairgrounds grandstand building by 4:30 PM on the night of the pageant, Thursday, August 8, 2024.
Pageant Performance
- Participants will be interviewed briefly by the Master of Ceremonies on stage prior to performing their talent.
- No props, stuffed animals, flags, musical instruments, recorded music, etc shall be used.
- Participants will be asked to either sing a child's song OR recite a child's poem/nursery rhyme as the talent portion of the pageant.
- Appropriate attire for pageant participants is a dress. This can be a sundress, church dress, fancy pageant dress, etc.
Winner's Responsibilities
- The newly crowned Little Miss Pocomoke Fair must be available to ride in the Pocomoke Christmas Parade held the first Monday after Thanksgiving.
- The winner will be asked to crown the next Little Miss Pocomoke Fair at next year's pageant.
- The winner may be asked to participate in other fairgrounds sponsored events throughout the year.
- The hooded robe received by the winner must be dry cleaned and returned to the pageant director at least five days prior to next year's pageant.
Prizes, Trophies, & Awards
- All pageant participants will receive a trophy as well as a goody bag filled with toys, restaurant certificates, books, candy, etc.
- The winner of the pageant will receive a tiara, hooded robe*, embroidered sash, as well as free rides and attractions each day of the fair.
- *Only the hooded robe has to be returned to the pageant director. All other prizes and awards will remain the property of the participants and winners.
Junior Miss Pocomoke Fair

- At least 11 years but not older than 13 years of age on the date of the pageant.
- Must reside in Worcester, Somerset, Wicomico, or Accomack County.

- All participants must attend pageant rehearsal which will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 6:30 PM at the fairgrounds grandstand building.
- Participants must arrive at the registration desk inside the fairgrounds grandstand building by 4:30 PM on the night of the pageant, Thursday, August 8, 2024.
Pageant Performance
- Participants will be asked to provide an opening statement to the audience which will include their name, age, grade in school, and their accomplishments (both academic and in general).
- Participants will be interviewed on stage by the Master of Ceremonies.
- Participants will be required to answer a random question chosen from a bank of questions selected by the pageant director.
- Appropriate attire for pageant participants is a dress. This can be a sundress, church dress, fancy pageant dress, etc.
Winner's Responsibilities
- The newly crowned Junior Miss Pocomoke Fair must be available to ride in the Pocomoke and Snow Hill Christmas Parades.
- The winner will be asked to crown the next Junior Miss Pocomoke Fair at next year's pageant.
- The winner will be asked to present ribbons to the winners of the animal competitions at the Great Fair.
- The winner may be asked to participate in other fairgrounds sponsored events throughout the year.
- The hooded robe received by the winner must be dry cleaned and returned to the pageant director at least five days prior to next year's pageant.

Pageant Registration
Fees and Deadlines
The registration fee for the 2024 pageant is $20.00. This fee is payable in cash, personal check, or money order. If paying by personal check or money order, please make it out to The Great Pocomoke Fair. This fee is non-refundable. All entry forms AND registration fees must be received on or before 7/31/2024.
All entries are subject to the approval of the Pageant Director. Upon approval, you will receive confirmation via email. If you do not receive confirmation of approval, please contact us regarding your registration before 7/31/2024.
